Transactions, transactions

I am proud to announce that i've completed not one but two successful transactions today (and one of them entirely in Kinyarwanda!) OK, don't get too excited, it was only buying an apple, but by doing it in Kinyarwanda i paid 100rwf less! In a grander scale, i've also opened a bank account. It took me about 3 hours, of which one and a half, chatting at a bank clerk's desk about my wedding and family (one of the gaps to complete actually enquires about your wedding aniversary -i wonder if they send you a bottle of champagne!) But it was great! The guy was really friendly and i got to practise my kinyarwanda and teach him a little bit of Spanish! And at the end i even got a diploma to certify my accomplishment! It's been a great day!
Estoy orgullosa de anunciar que he conseguido completar no una sino dos transacciones satisfactorias hoy (y una de ellas completamente en Kinyarwanda). Vale, no os emocioneis demasiado, fue solo comprar una manzana, pero haciéndolo en Kinyarwanda me salió 100 francos más barata. Estoy muy orgullosa de mí misma... A una escala más ambiciosa, también he conseguido abrir una cuenta de banco. Me llevó tres horas, de las cuales, dos charlando con un empleado de banco sobre mi boda, mi familia... (sí, uno de los campos a rellenar era sobre tu aniversario de boda- me pregunto si me mandarán una botella de cava!) Pero fue genial! El chico era super majo y me sirvió para practicar mi Kinyarwanda y ensenarle algo de espanol. E incluso conseguí un diploma para certificar mi éxito! Yuhuuuuu!
