It was long promised and awaited and, finally... here it is!: my Rwandan blog.
We are leaving in exactly two weeks time and everything seems less ready than ever: at the moment of writing I don't even have a passport anymore, my driving licence is working its way through the royal mail to get an extra line of writing saying I can learn to ride a motorbike - which thankfully I'm already doing anyway- and only last Wednesday did I have the first of a set of three rabies vaccinations that are supposed to be three weeks apart... But if there is something I've learnt in the last few month is that somehow everything seems to work out eventually. So I feel confident that on the 28th August I'll be getting on a plane heading for Rwanda, confident enough at least to start this blog and invite all of you to start getting on board. Get ready for a bumpy trip!
Me siento honrada de anunciar que en tan solo un día de existencia, mi blog ya ha recibido peticiones del público. Y haría un flaco favor a tan gran honor si no me apresurara a satisfacerlas. Así que, aquí vamos, traducción simultánea al español:

Nos vamos en exactamente dos semanas y todo parece menos preparado que nunca: en el momento de escribir, ni siquiera tengo un pasaporte, mi carnet de conducir está abriéndose camino a través del 'Correo Real' y tan solo el miércoles pasado recibí la primera de tres vacunas de la rabia que deben estar separadas por un espacio de tres semanas... Pero si hay algo que he aprendido en los últimos meses es que, sin saber cómo, todo parece salir bien al final. Así que tengo confianza en que el 28 de agosto estaré subiendome en un avión con destino a Ruanda, confianza suficiente, por lo menos, para empezar este blog e invitaros a todos a empezar a subir a bordo. ¡Prepárense para un viaje con turbulencias!
